As a Director for Austin Consulting, Brandon assists clients with developing location strategies for new facilities. Brandon’s experience in site selection includes comparative analysis of operating costs, supply chain analysis, labor market analysis, site and building evaluation, detailed utility analysis, property due diligence, incentive negotiations, community assessment and metropolitan area site searches. Brandon has experience working in a diverse range of industries, including food and beverage processing, chemicals, television and radio, distribution and logistics, and various other sectors.
Brandon is also experienced in site evaluation for the “shovel ready” certification services that Austin performs for state, regional and local economic development organizations across the country. In 2012, Brandon worked closely with the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development to develop the Select Tennessee Site Certification program, which he currently manages for Austin.
Brandon has over 10 years of experience in site selection and economic development. Prior to joining Austin Consulting in 2012, Brandon served as Business Recruitment Director for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, a regional economic development marketing organization. Brandon began his economic development career in Tennessee, where he was responsible for marketing and business development activities at the Tri-Cities Economic Development Alliance, a regional economic development organization that promoted northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
Brandon received Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Milligan College in east Tennessee. Brandon is also a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) by the International Economic Development Council. In 2015, Brandon was recognized as one of North America’s Top 50 Site Consultants by Consultant Connect.
