As a Senior Location Consultant with Austin Consulting, Jonathan’s site selection experience includes food processing, beverage bottling, distribution centers, aviation, and manufacturing. Jonathan has performed community analysis, labor analysis, transportation analysis, utility analysis, site and building evaluation, and detailed industry research.

Jonathan serves as project manager for Austin’s third-party administration of the CSX Select Site Program, where Austin conducts detailed site diligence of large, industrial sites with access to CSX Transportation’s rail network. Jonathan played a significant role in the program’s creation and implementation, as well as its continued expansion across the CSX service territory. In addition, Jonathan helped design the program website (www.csxselectsite.com), which was rolled out by CSX in January of 2012.
Since 2009, Jonathan serves as project manager for Austin Consulting as the third-party site selection consultant for the Ohio Job Ready Site Program. Jonathan led the overhaul of both the competitive application process and due diligence certification process for the Ohio Job Ready Site Program.

Prior to joining The Austin Company, Jonathan worked with the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, where he recruited companies from multiple industry sectors to Central Florida. During his five- year tenure, Jonathan worked closely with firms such as Staples, Whirlpool, JetBlue Airways, CuraScript, WinDoor, Electronic Arts, Darden Restaurants and Hewitt Associates. His areas of expertise included incentives negotiation and permitting/regulatory approvals. During his time in Florida, Jonathan served on the board of directors of the Manufacturer’s Association of Central Florida.

Jonathan’s other prior work experience includes industrial real estate development and asset and property management in Research Triangle Park. During his time in North Carolina, he chaired the Workforce Development Council of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. He began his career in automotive parts assembly and quality control.
