Approach

Strategic, thorough, and disciplined

We work collaboratively with our clients to help them evaluate the impact that location has on their business supply chains, operating cost structure, human resources, customers, tax burden and other areas of the business.

Our team is supported by in-house subject matter experts in key market segments including food and beverage, pharmaceutical and biotech, industrial manufacturing, commercial buildings, aerospace and defense, process industries, and utility plant support.

We bring a strategic and detailed approach to projects, not one motivated by a real estate transaction or value of negotiated incentives.

We are hyper-focused on helping you achieve the best possible result throughout the entire site selection process. Austin embraces complex and challenging projects and works with companies to mitigate risk by identifying issues sooner rather than later in the process.

a phased approach

We often recommend a phased project approach for selecting the best location for new facilities. The process begins with a detailed information exchange establishing the project’s strategic considerations and location requirements.

Next, a screening analysis identifies the best candidate states or regions. Then, a more detailed site and community search and evaluation is performed. We identify and apply the appropriate filters throughout the process to produce the best candidate locations. Once a short list of locations has been identified, site and community field evaluations are conducted.

Finally, the top-performing locations are selected to advance to incentives and property negotiations, along with pre-acquisition site due diligence. As a result, the risks in choosing where to establish a new facility are diminished, and the project is poised for cost savings and other advantages during construction and operationally for years to come.
